Let me just tell you a little bit about myself, a small part of the heart behind this firm. I became a lawyer later in life, after years as a paralegal, a mother, and a grandmother. Deemed a ‘non-traditional’ law student, I presented sheer grit & determination in finishing my degree, my only choice as I was undergoing a very painful divorce during my last semester.
I know the sting of loss, the ache of uncertainty, and the miracle of second chances.
I later remarried and was blessed with a second grandchild. Then, after my beloved husband and shortly thereafter, my dad, passed away unexpectedly, I relocated from Kansas City, Missouri, to Southlake to work for my sister, Dana, at her law firm.
Tragedy struck yet again, in bucketfuls. I lost a grandson, who was born prematurely. I lost my best friend in Kansas City, and then I unimaginably lost my 32-year-old son. I was left navigating a storm of grief, and it became my mission to become a lifeline for others lost in their own.
I believe that every person carries a hidden treasure --- sometimes buried beneath hardship or heartbreak --- but it’s there. And my job is to help you uncover it, protect it, and fight for it.
My experiences motivated me to fight for:
